Our concerts are usually the 3rd weekend in May and the 2nd weekend in December, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We perform in different parts of the county so all have the opportunity to enjoy choral music – and for donations only. Click here for information about our upcoming concerts.
We are Mason County’s choir. If you want to do more than listen to a performance, come sing with us! You don’t have to live on Harstine Island to experience the joy of singing in a choir. Click here for information about joining.
Established in 2004
We are singers from all over Mason County, called the Harstine Island Community Choir because that is where we originated. We are experienced singers and beginners, old school choir members and show singers. Our talent varies, but our dedication is unified. We are proud to represent our various communities throughout Mason county in the pursuit of enhancing musical appreciation. Our concerts are free; we pay our expenses and buy our music with the generosity of your donations.
Led by Kelsey Barnes, our extensive repertoire includes many genres from classical, swing, blues, folk, Broadway, patriotic and traditional music from around the world.
The Harstine Island Community Choir is a community chorus organized and operated exclusively for public music education and dedicated to performance, community service, and leadership in the arts. Our mission is to teach and perform choral works to interested persons of all ages, to participate in community service activities, and to develop and maintain public interest in vocal arts.
