OUR DIRECTOR

ELIZABETH BERNDT

Following her choral conducting studies under Ron Jeffers at Oregon State University, Elizabeth attended The Conservatory of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, Germany studying voice, piano and conducting. She holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Music Education, with emphasis in Choral Conducting, and a Masters Degree in Education. She taught high school music for ten years, served as accompanist for the German American Choir and as rehearsal director for a large symphonic choir. She also conducts The Capstans men's chorus and performs with Olympia’s Masterworks Choral Ensemble.

SARAH WOODS

Sarah Woods is a 2010 graduate of Shelton High School where she
participated in choir and musical theater.  She has studied piano for 12 years, the last 7 with Alice Johansson.  Sarah was the 2008 recipient of the Mason County Chapter piano play-offs and performed as the Mason County representative at the Washington State Music Teachers Association State Conference.  After completing an Associate of Arts degree this year at South Puget Sound Community College, she plans to attend Western Washington University to double-major in music and business.
